We are hiring an IT Director to start immediately for a reputable law firm in San Clemente, CA
- this is a 100% on site position in San Clemente, CA
- You will be the SOLE person to support about 24 users across two office locations - San Clemente and Los Angeles
- You will work closely with a 3rd party vendor, and the vendor takes care of all the security responsibilities
- Salary is up to 110k/year
- IT experience within a Law Firm is required
- IT forensics experience is preferred but they will train you
Overall duties and responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for planning, managing, and overseeing technology in the firm.
- Monitors and analyzes trends and the latest products in the industry that could improve the firm's performance (particularly in cybersecurity).
- Identifies new methods, researches, and makes recommendations for improvements to software, hardware, supplies, systems, and protocols.
- Plans, coordinates, and implements information security programs to protect against web threats, including malware, phishing, viruses, denial-of-service attacks, and hacking.
- Plans and implements written protocols, procedures, and training on tech-related and cybersecurity issues.
- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all employee/office tech
- Monitors network performance and performs testing to provide diagnosis of issues.
- Installs upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
- Supports and enforces a disaster recovery, security, and back up and retore plan.
- Tracks inventory and lifecycle of all office technologies and recommends upgrades and replacements.
- Responds to end-user requests for help to resolve computer, application, system, device, access, or performance issues.
- Establishes technology standards and communicates technical information to the firm.
- Monitors and maintains tech-related vendor agreements.
- Assists attorneys and paralegals with incoming discovery (mainly transferring files to internal servers or cloud-based discovery platforms for attorney/paralegal review and analysis).
- Assists attorneys and paralegals with trials, depositions, and hearings, including helping to set up all tech needed for the case-related task.
